This 230 km long circular tour with approx.6250 m difference of altitude contains - from scenery to biking challenges - everything that the mountain biker could wish. The looming Dachstein mountain range and the picturesque Salzkammergut lakes district make for an inviting scenery, waiting to be discovered by the passionate biker.

Itinerary

1. Day: Individual arrival and overnight stay in Bad Goisern.

Hand out of the travel documents in the hotel in Bad Goisern.

2. Day: Bad Goisern – Bad Aussee – Bad Mitterndorf – Gröbming

~ 71 km, altitude difference ascent 1940 / descent 1690 m

Overnight stay in Gröbming (Luggage is taken to the hotel for you).

3. Day: Gröbming – Ramsau – Filzmoos – Annaberg

~ 76 km, altitude difference ascent 2050 / descent 1900 m

Overnight stay in Annaberg (Luggage is taken to the hotel for you).

4. Day: Annaberg – Russbach – Gosau – Bad Goisern

~ 84 km, altitude difference ascent 2250 / descent 2620 m

Luggage transfer to Bad Goisern, shower opportunity,
Individual departure or additional nights.

The realisation of the tour depends on the weather!

The MTB tours are demanding and physical fitness and stamina are therefore a prerequisite.
The right equipment is also important, such as closed trainers, rucksack, sun and rain protection, functional clothing, jacket and jumper, etc.

The local tax, also known as visitor's tax, is payable locally to the landlord; the amount depends on the resort and is between 1,00€ and 4,00€ per person per night. Children up to the age of 15 are usually exempt.

Information for arrivals by car:
The car park is not always at the accommodation, but in a public car park (costs to be paid on site). The location of the accommodation is mainly along the hiking trails.

"A tree for your booking" – Cooperation project with Austrian Federal Forests

For every bike or hiking tour in the region booked with us, a tree is planted in the Weißenbach valley – near Bad Ischl. With this campaign we want to generate awareness for climate-friendly travel and take responsibility for a world worth living in.

The UNESCO World Heritage List currently lists 1,154 natural and cultural sites from 167 countries worldwide. The excellent cultural and natural monuments have an extraordinary universal value that must be preserved in the long term. Austria is represented with 10 World Heritage Sites.
