Program details

Description of the travel stops

Laakirchen Papermaking Museum: In the unique ambience of the former Steyrermühl paper mill, historical and contemporary topics relating to paper production are presented in a vivid and easy-to-understand way using modern museum design. Social aspects of industrial history, environmental protection and the importance of the River Traun are also presented in separate sections.

Experience Gmunden on a guided tour of the manufactory. In addition to a short film, some particularly valuable exhibits, a touch and photo station, you will gain detailed insights into the creation of the unique Gmunden ceramics. From turning, glazing, painting, flaming and firing - experience how much love and craftsmanship goes into making Gmundner ceramics.

HAND.WERK.HAUS Bad Goisern: The exhibition is a journey through the tradition, present and future of living craftsmanship from the Salzkammergut. Guided tours shed light on historical backgrounds as well as current inputs and the importance of crafts for the region. To mark its 10th anniversary, the exhibition has been redesigned and restaged and is now divided into four themed areas: From head to toe. From the necessity of beauty. From the gable to the cellar. From hand to mouth. New features also include: tool curtains and do stations for nailing, planing, debarking and drilling (after consultation)

World Heritage Museum in Hallstatt: A journey through time from the beginnings to the present 7,000 years of Hallstatt. The spectacular finds from the oldest salt mine in the world and the world-famous finds from the Hallstatt burial ground were so important that an entire cultural period was named after this place - the Hallstatt culture (850 - 500 B.C.) Take a journey through time from the Stone Age to the present - in addition to the unique exhibits from the most diverse time periods, you can experience the history of our homeland virtually and visually using Hallstatt as an example.

Description of the consumption stations

Senferei Anna Max Bad Goisern: Mustard is more than just a faithful companion for sausages and co. Rainer H. Baumgartner gives it a new life. He serves mustard in more than 20 flavours, all of which surprise and delight the palate. This is also possible because he makes every jar of mustard by hand. AnnaMax mustard is both a spice paste that can be used in the preparation of various dishes and an ideal accompaniment to food. From a soft egg, pickled salmon or similar for breakfast, to a cheese platter or snack plate, to grilled fish, game, meat or vegetables. Our mustard is strong with a nice acidic backbone. Show production, "museum" part, bus stop directly in front of the shop, car parking spaces next to the shop, barrier-free.

Coffee snack in the kuk Hofkonditorei Zauner in Bad Ischl with imperial cake and a cup of coffee.  Since 1832, enjoyment has become a culture here.
