The course of your tour
Day 1: Individual arrival
Welcome to the Seebacherhof in Tauplitz! After your individual arrival, you will check into your cozy room and have time to explore the beautiful winter landscape surrounding Tauplitz. End the day in a relaxed way with a first walk or a cozy dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Winter Hike on the Tauplitzalm & Romantic Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride
After breakfast, a special winter experience awaits you: the comfortable 4-seater chairlift takes you up to the Tauplitzalm. Once at the top, you can enjoy the stunning winter landscape during a leisurely hike along the village loop, accompanied by breathtaking views. A stop at a cozy alpine hut rounds off the experience.
In the late afternoon, discover the snow-covered landscape from a different perspective: a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride through the idyllic winter scenery – an unforgettable end to your winter day.
Day 3: Winter Hike & Cross-Country Skiing in Tauplitz
Today, you’ll explore the charming village of Tauplitz on foot: during a winter hike through the town, you’ll discover hidden corners, charming spots, and enjoy the peacefulness of the snow-covered landscape.
If you prefer a more active experience, strap on your cross-country skis and glide along the perfectly groomed trails around Tauplitz, surrounded by pristine winter nature.
Whether relaxed or active – the day is yours to enjoy.
Day 4: Winter Hike & Relaxation at the Spa
A varied day awaits you:
You’ll start with a winter hike on the sunny plateau of Bad Aussee – a delightful loop through the snowy surroundings.
In the afternoon, it’s time to unwind at the Bad Aussee thermal spa – warmth, water, and relaxation will rejuvenate your body and soul.
Day 5: Individual departure
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the winter wonderland of the Ausseerland region. With many wonderful memories in your luggage, you begin your journey home.
Recommended equipment for carefree winter hiking:
- 3 sets of underwear
- 2 to 3 layers of outerwear / warm, functional, waterproof and windproof
- Hat and gloves
- Sunglasses and/or ski goggles, sun cream
- Sturdy, waterproof winter boots
- Gaiters up to the knees are an advantage, prevent snow from penetrating the boot

Location: Situated in the heart of the "Styrian Salzkammergut," this family-run business is centrally yet quietly located – just a 5-minute walk from the village square.
Facilities: The house features an elevator, a restaurant serving hearty "home-style" meals ranging from traditional cuisine to international specialties, and a modern lounge area.
Wellness: Cozy sauna area with panoramic views.

Night Tobogganing – A Thrilling Experience
The stars are shining, the runners are glowing, and the snow crunches under your sled: reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h, you’ll race down the Grafenwiesen slope in Tauplitz on our certified toboggans.
The toboggan run is located at the Grafenwiesen lift in Tauplitz village. There you can rent sleds equipped with tow and brake systems – for your maximum safety.
