The ancient Greeks told the legend of the sculptor Pygmalion, who created a statue of a woman of such great beauty that he is hopelessly in love with her. Aphrodite proved to be gracious to the statue brought to life and gave it to Mrs. Pygmalion. George Bernard Shaw turned the ancient material in the charming comedy Pygmalion, the Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe in 1956 served as a template for their hit musical My Fair Lady.

Tunes like "Green is green" or "I Could Have Danced All Night" did not last thanks to the film version starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison to the world. Pygmalion created a statue once transformed, the phonetics professor Henry Higgins, the impoverished flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a society lady. After several months of hard struggle with vowels and consonants, he presents them in a ball Eliza's beauty, their language and their appearance, they can seem like a duchess. Nevertheless, the professor defends tenaciously to the love of his "creation" ...
