Day 1:   Individual arrival at your accommodation in Schladming-Rohrmoos

At check-in you receive your travel documents.

Overnight stay in Schladming-Rohrmoos

Day 2:  Suggestion: Untertal – Duisitzkarsee – Neualm - Untertal

~ 4-5 h, 9,5 km altitude difference á 704 m / â 702 m

As introduction why not visit Lake Duisitzkarsee, a genuine insiders’ tip:

Take the free hiking bus to Eschachboden. Choose between a short, steep Alpine track or a winding forest road. Enjoy a break at one of the huts at the lake side, for an extended hike go past Neualm along an Alpine creek back to the parking lot.

Overnight stay in Schladming-Rohrmoos

Day 3:  Schladming-Rohrmoos – Preunegg – Ramsau am Dachstein

~ 8 h, 19,5 km altitude difference á 962 m / â 688 m

You follow the trail along the north-face of the Hochwurzen, a popular skiing resort. Through a romantic gorge the trail leads to Preunegg and further to Gleiming where you cross the Enns river and enter the Ramsauer Plateau.

Day 4:  Suggestion: Dachstein Glacier

A free hiking bus takes you on a winding road to the Türlwand, directly beneath the glacier. The panoramic bus ride is followed by an even more impressive cable car trip to 2 700m.

Take a short walk on the glacier ice, experience the thrill of the Dachstein suspension bridge or the             “stairway to nothingness”

Day 5:  Ramsau - Haus im Ennstal

~ 4 h, 12,5 km altitude difference á 245 m / â 613 m

Leave Ramsau on the Philosopher’s Trail. The Sattelberg is an inviting spot for a first stop with   Alpine huts, offering refreshments and a Children’s Adventure Park. Pass through the beautiful rural hamlet of Birnberg and cross the Enns at the sports centre into Haus.

Day 6:  Haus im Ennstal – Grobming

~ 7 h, 23 km altitude difference á 800 m / â 800 m

Follow the trail over Weissenbach, then slightly ascending, to Sonnberg with Kneipp facility for tired feet. Along the south face of the Aichberg the trail offers magnificent views of the Grobminger valley. Through the hamlet Weyern the road winds into Grobming.

Day 7:  Suggestion: Panoramic hike Kulm/Freienstein

From the center of Gröbming to the Peace Bell, wonderful viewpoints and to the Adventure Park Gröbming, Zipline Stoderzinken: thrilling rides with the biggest rope-gliding flight facility in the Alps (payable on spot)

Day 8:  Individual departure

Rates per person for the arrangement in €:

Local tax is extra to pay on spot in each accommodation (from € 1,-- to € 3,-- per person/per night)

Reduction for children sleeping in their parents’ room (2 fully paying guests):

0 – 5,9 years: 100 %       6 – 14,9 years: 30 %

Dogs:

Dogs are allowed in the accommodations on request, often for a small fee. Extra costs have to be paid on spot. Austrian law orders that dogs must wear a leash or a muzzle!
